what we do
We support leaders to become authentic and inspiring individuals
leading with clarity and purpose.
We help create and sustain thriving organisations
where people love to work.
developing authentic leaders
Wherever you are on your leadership journey, we can help you grow and develop.
We look to create conscious leaders who act from a place of self-awareness and belief in the importance of self-growth as a crucial component of leadership.
our principles
We work on the principle that developing your authenticity is the keystone in becoming a great leader. It leads to natural authority, better communication and it creates an environment where those who work with you have permission to be themselves too.
you'll develop
Working with us, we'll help you to develop:
self-awareness
more confidence
greater agency
natural assertiveness
increased capability
more effective day-to-day skills
how we work with you
We'll meet you where you are, whether you're new to leadership or an experienced manager looking to grow.
We provide an unconditionally supportive space for you to develop and we'll challenge where necessary.
We'll guide you towards becoming a healthy and authentic leader.
creating healthy cultures
Healthy cultures are the bedrock of any organisation working well.
Healthy cultures support organisations to be efficient, effective and agile in how they work.
We understand how to build and sustain healthy cultures.
our principles
Healthy cultures create an environment where people can bring the best version of themselves to work.
Such organisations are hugely impactful - in what they do and how they affect the lives of their staff.

Working with us, you'll become clear about your organisation's culture and how you can move forward in the short and long term.
You'll create an environment of greater engagement with all levels of staff and build an organisation with real character and substance.

We are skilled at working with complex organisational dynamics and identifying underlying causes of cultural issues.
We'll encourage open and honest engagement with issues and help to resolve them.
We will support you on your journey.
building high performing teams

Individuals are clear about how they contribute to the organisation and how their team engages with the rest of the organisation.
We build high performing teams built on trust and mutual respect.

areas of work
We work from small scale one-off projects to organisation wide development initiatives.
Coaching packages
We offer coaching packages supporting leaders, managers and other members of staff. Our coaching packages can be standalone or combined with other organisational initiatives. Typically, coaching packages are either put in place to support an individual’s developmental need or on an ongoing basis as part of, for example, supporting leaders with their day-to-day challenges.
Organisation cultural health checks
Carrying out an organisational health check provides a crucial platform for moving your organisation’s culture forward. We spend time with your organisation, interviewing a range of staff to identify the strengths and weaknesses of the culture. We recommend an overall cultural development plan and actions to tackle specific issues.
Tackling specific cultural issues
We can tackle specific cultural problem areas, for example :
- workplace stress
- bullying
- psychological safety issues
- individuals in conflict
- underperformance
- inter-team problems such as poor communication
Senior team development
We spend time with your senior team to identify key dynamics in play. Based on this we highlight how to improve the overall team performance. This typically comprises building awareness at an individual and group level, combined with specific training. Such training may be focused on “soft skills” such as adult communication, or “hard” skills such as effective workload management.
Management training
We can deliver management training programmes which provide a targeted set of skills for managers in your organisation. Examples of such skill areas are:
- Understanding the role and responsibilities of a leader
- How to use strategy & vision to help lead effectively
- Using competencies and behaviours to manage effectively
- Flexing your leadership style
- Establishing psychological safety in teams
- Having effective feedback conversations
- Using coaching skills to manage
- Understanding change and supporting others through change
Equity, diversity and inclusion
Wherever you are on your EDI journey, we can further your knowledge and understanding, and give you the tools to challenge non-inclusive behaviours and language. Our areas of work include:
- how to recruit following good inclusion practices
- how to instil inclusive leadership practices in your organisation
- how to implement and embed inclusive behaviours
- helping you to create behavioural change
Organisational behaviours, values development and implementation
This area of work comprises identifying and embedding how your organisation works (rather than what you do). We can help you develop a values and behaviours framework from scratch or integrate a structure that you have already developed. We can also advise how behaviours and values can be sustained.
Staff surveys for charities
For powerful charity sector and hospice sector staff surveys, connect with our sister company Birdsong Charity Consulting, the home of the Charity Pulse benchmark.
Birdsong Charity Consulting has been supporting the UK charity sector since 2004, helping charities to work more effectively with their people. Birdsong’s expert staff and volunteer satisfaction surveys enable leaders and HR professionals to gather the honest opinions of their people and to receive clear, benchmarked results that they can act upon.
Taking action after a staff survey
We have extensive experience of supporting organisations following a staff survey. It can be difficult to know how to progress – there can be multiple issues being raised, challenging or conflicting feedback.
We have the expertise to help you identify how to move forward, bringing together the survey feedback with your strategic and cultural objectives.
